I have always struggled to really trust people with something as personal and delicate as my music. When I first met Simon at his studio to discuss starting a songwriting project, his open-mindedness and sensitivity in communicating instantly put me at ease.
We’ve developed a strong collaborative trust in one another, especially in respecting and building upon each other’s own creative processes. I’m incredibly excited to record some tracks with him later this year when I’m ready. He’s been nothing short of integral in my own journey to musical self-discovery and learning what I’m truly capable of, as well as making me see how much fun it can all be along the way!

I asked some of the people I've worked with to give me their thoughts on what it has been like to work with me and I received this beautiful voicenote from someone who asked to remain anonymous. They shared what it feels like to them so authentically I asked if I could share the voicenote with a couple of edits.
We have loved our time working with Simon at Walker Combe Studios. Simon has a gift for making people feel at ease and to help extract their creative ideas and bring them to life through his knowledge of music production. He is highly passionate about the projects he is working on was able to understand our musical vision from the get go. He always communicated with us to make sure we were going in the right direction and that we were happy with how the tracks were sounding.
He had many great ideas for the songs when we wanted a creative effect or to add something to give the tracks an extra punch. Simon also played cello for us on one of our songs which ended up sounding amazing.
The studio itself is a lovely environment to be in. The log cabin has a brilliant timber and natural interior which creates a very relaxing atmosphere and the views of Combe Martin Valley out of the window are beautiful. We couldn't recommend working with Simon highly enough. He brought such knowledge and enthusiasm to our recordings and we are so proud of how they came out. We hope to work again with him soon!

It was an absolute pleasure getting to work with Simon Walker on our latest project. We came into the studio slightly fearful about the state of our tracks but felt immediately reassured by Simon's enthusiasm and professionalism. As a musician himself, Simon just gets it.
Right from the start he understood our style and was commited to helping us walk away with an EP that would really reflect our vision down to every last mixing choice. He made the whole journey really enjoyable as he is a great communicator with a wealth of music knowledge that only comes from many years of experience.
The studio itself is a fantastic space that feels remote and imediatley enhances creatity. I would definitely recommend working with Simon to any other musicians out there, you won't find anyone more committed to helping artists achieve making that song that's in their head a reality.
